Frank, thanks for sharing your life with me. You made a very big impact in my life in the short time you were in my life. I met frank about 9 years ago I was setting up the wake up and recover (WAR) meeting when this guy walked in and said in a hyper voice my name is frank is this the NA meeting. (He was home) He joined the home group and would always let you know when he was there. He showed up every week and would help set up the meeting. He was always doing something for the group or for someone. It seemed like he could never do enough. He wanted to recover. He asked me a lot of questions and when I didn’t have the answer I would call people to get the answer and call him back. He wanted to learn as much as he could and he wanted to do things the right way, that was important to him. He wanted to know why we did things a certain way. Sometimes we disagreed but we stayed friends in spite of our opinions. He worked the steps, practiced the principles, got involved in service, and helped who ever he could.  He loved his home group and was a huge part of keeping the meeting going and keeping the doors open. That was very important to him. He was committed to his family, recovery, home group and his friends. I was in a step study with him and three other guys every week. Frank was working at Chevy’s at the time and he would go into work so he could make pizzas for the guys in the step study. We would sit around talk about recovery and eat pizza. Frank made the best pizza. And he would tell anybody. (Who would listen) He loved to cook, I can remember going to his work and he would cook me dinner. He never cooked me a bad meal. He would light up every time someone would complement him on his cooking. He also liked to play tennis. We would go play and I was surprised at how well he moved around the court for a big man. He had some game. When he would get a point or beat me he would dance around the court. Doing something in between the mummers strut and the twist. It was not pretty but he didn’t care. He was just being frank, but it was funny. He was a funny guy. He would always make people laugh with his funny antics. He was just enjoying life, he was free. He was a great friend and a great man. That’s what I’m going to remember about frank. I already miss you buddy. Rest in peace big fellow.  The war is over.

                                                                            Love, your friend Ed McCash
